What We *Actually* Use
Rakuten
(formerly Ebates) is a cashback portal that gives you a percentage of your purchase back when you shop online through their site or browser extension. Just click through Rakuten before shopping at your favorite stores, and they’ll send you cashback (usually quarterly) via PayPal or check. You can also shop via their mobile app or with a browser extension. Watch our for increased cash back multipliers!
Top Cash Back
Top Cash Back works similarly to Rakuten but often offers slightly higher cashback rates. It also doesn’t take a cut of your rewards, which means you get the full amount. Payouts can be made via PayPal, direct deposit, or gift cards (some with bonuses)
Pro Tip: Use a website like Cash Back Monitor to search and see which cash back portal or credit card shopping portal could give you the highest payout on your online shopping.
Money Savers and Points Rebates
Honey
The Honey browser extension automatically searches for coupons and promo codes to apply at check out. It also has other tools like an Amazon price tracker so you can know when you’re getting the best deal. Like most of these apps, you’ll also accumulate points when you use Honey. But we like it because it actually finds promo codes all the tine even when there is nothing available on other options, like Rakuten.
